Usage & Application Guide
- Preparation: Wet your pet’s coat thoroughly with warm water for 2-3 minutes.
- Application (Head & Ears): Apply shampoo to the head and ears, carefully lathering while keeping the shampoo out of the animal’s eyes. (A drop of glycerin in each eye before bathing may help prevent or reduce irritation if shampoo gets in the eyes).
- Application (Body): Repeat the procedure with the neck, chest, middle, and hindquarters, finishing with the legs last. Pay special attention to footpads (between the toes) and underbody areas. Also, focus on the base of the tail, as this is a common area for fleas.
- Lather & Wait: Fully lather the animal and let the lather remain on the pet for 5 minutes. This final step is an important part of the grooming procedure.
- Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with water until all shampoo is removed.
- Drying (Small Pets): For small dogs and cats less than 15 lbs, wrapping the animal in a towel for several minutes to absorb moisture is advised. This can also allow dying fleas and ticks to crawl off the animal into the towel before drying.
- Frequency: Do not repeat treatment for 7 days.
